Very grateful to have received the Acquisition Fund Award at the 86th Valdepeñas International Fine Arts Competition. The work Prophecies of a disorder is now part of the Valdepeñas Municipal Museum Collection.

Congratulations to Teruhiro Ando and to all the other award winners and selected artists, and many thanks to the jury and the organizers!

In this edition, the jury was composed of Jesús Martín Rodríguez-Caro as Honorary President, Vanessa Irla as President, José Javier Pérez Avilés as Secretary, and serving as distinguished members and art experts were the renowned artist Guillermo Pérez Villalta; the sculptor Blanca Muñoz; the art critic Fernando Castro Flórez; and the critic and gallerist Fernando Fernán Gómez.

The 86th Valdepeñas International Fine Arts Exhibition will feature Rafael Canogar as the guest artist, author of the sculpture Cabeza de hombre, which can be seen at the roundabout on Avenida del Sur as part of Valdepeñas’ open-air museum.

In this edition, the jury has selected 74 works, 51 of which are paintings and 23 sculptures, that will be on display in the exhibition opening on Sunday, August 31, at the La Confianza Cultural Center.
