Lariot Collective is pleased to announce a Lecture at The House of St Barnabas as a collateral event to the solo show by Santiago Talavera Let the future be decided in small places.
Participants:
– Lariot Collective introducing and presenting the speakers
– Susie Stirling: Partnerships and Art Manager at The House of St Barnabas: she will introduce us to the art program and collection at The House of St Barnabas.
– Santiago Talavera: The central axis of Santiago Talavera’s work is the reflection on the human condition through the investigation of landscape and its symbolic, narrative and spatial possibilities.
The absence of the human being in his works, in combination with an intimate and absurd atmosphere in which past and future seem to intermingle, accentuate the need to think about the place we occupy, rather than as mere observers.
– Michela Carla Falcone: Architect, Course leader – lecturer in spatial Design at Buckinghamshire New University, she has been senior architect at Zaha Hadid Architects, UNStudio, and Shigeru Ban Architects. Member of the Architectural Association, nominated juror of mOOO international architectural competition and have been a guest critic at the Bartlett UCL, the University of East London, the Edinburgh School of Architecture and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
Michela pursue emotive architecture, inspired by human psyche and cultural context, and focus on interaction between built environment and nature.
